Fullerton College: A Pictorial History

Sculptor Ben Jackel was the Artist in Residence during spring 2014. In the photo, he stands next to his work, Fire Hose (Japanese), made of stoneware and ebony in a wood case. He made a series of everyday objects like a fire extinguisher, a fire hose, and a box of sprinkler heads—objects usually required by law in case an emergency arises, but seldom used and often forgotten.
